China Global Philanthropy Institute was founded by five Chinese and US philanthropists, Bill Gates, Ray Dalio, Niu Gensheng, He Qiaonyu and Ye Qingjun. The institute was founded to establish an education system that will cultivate exemplary philanthropists and executive philanthropists. It is committed to building a knowledge system supporting the development of philanthropy in China and the world, and to creating a professional think tank to lead philanthropy development and promote the forming of a new philanthropic knowledge system. CGPI collaborated with NORRAG on the organisation and presentation of the regional symposium, Philanthropy in Childhood Education in China: Trends and Perspectives, which was held in the People’s Republic of China in January 2019. In addition to the overall symposium theme, the regional symposia addressed topics that are relevant for the specific region.
