Increasing the visibility of African education research and researchers

The Research for Equitable Access and Learning (REAL) Centre at the University of Cambridge is organising on Tuesday 17th May, 13:00-14:00 BST, In-person and online a seminar on Increasing the visibility of African education research and researchers. Speakers feature Pauline Essah, Director of Research and Insight and Lucy Heady, Chief Executive Officer, Education Sub Saharan Africa (ESSA).

This event is being planned to take place both in-person and online, circumstances permitting. If we need to cancel the in-person option due to COVID-19, the event will go ahead online only. We will contact participants in advance of the seminar if changes are needed.

Event details: Participants will receive an email with the event details in the days leading up to the seminar. Please only come to the faculty if you have an in-person ticket. Participants with an in-person ticket will also be sent the Zoom details, in case they need to switch to joining online for any reason.

Location: The address (for in-person ticket holders only) is Faculty of Education, 184 Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 8PQ.

COVID-19 guidance:

The following guidance is strongly advised for those planning to attend in person

  • Do not attend if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
  • Take a lateral flow test on the morning of the seminar
  • Wear a mask during the seminar
